About the ‘Reclaimers Online’ Network
This is the main site and is going to be a ‘portal’ to all the sites in the Reclaimers Online network. At the moment, there are two other sites: The Workshop blog, and The Reclaimers Street Orchestra blog. These will be explained separately and in more detail below.
Reclaimersonline.com is the only web address that you need to remember, since it points to all our other websites. (You can visit the other websites directly if you want to, but it might be harder to remember all of them.)
The main site will feature articles (or ‘Posts’ as they’re called on blogs) by the webmaster, and project co-ordinator (which at the moment is Johanna (webmaster) and Charles (project coordinator)). These Posts will be of a more ‘official’ nature, rather than talking about personal experiences.
On the front page, under the “Latest News” box, there are two boxes. In one box, “Visit The Workshop” links to The Workshop blog – which is dedicated to building instruments. You can also visit The Workshop blog directly at: http://workshop.reclaimersonline.com
In the other box, “Meet The Orchestra” links to The Reclaimers Street Orchestra blog – which is dedicated to The Orchestra. You can also visit The Reclaimers Street Orchestra blog directly at: http://streetorchestra.reclaimersonline.com
Participants at the workshop and members of the orchestra, will be writing Posts to go on either The Workshop blog, or The Reclaimers Street Orchestra blog, depending on what the Post is about. For example, if you want to write about building your instrument, then that would go on The Workshop blog. If you want to write about performing in the orchestra, then that would go on The Reclaimers Street Orchestra blog. Once you’ve created your Post, then it will automatically also show up on the main site, on the front page, under the section “Latest from The Workshop” or “Latest from The Orchestra”.
